Oh it looks every bit as charming as I thought it would be! Next time I visit the one allergist that my crappy - yet hella expensive - health insurance covers (which is also conveniently located on Charleston and MLK BLVD) I'll have to make sure to bring the kids so that we can visit this quaint little zoo!(um, not really). ;)
In hindsight it was somewhat mean-spirited of me to post these photos. But it just nails on the head the difficulty of living in the desert. "The Diamond of Las Vegas..." if you don't laugh at it you'd have to cry.
I didn't perceive it as mean-spirited at all. Vegas is a "concrete shit-hole" as my hubs likes to call it. I'd never seen the actual outside of the zoo (only small, sad signs that say "zoo" pointing to an area behind a strip mall). The pics were disturbing. I can't even imagine what's INSIDE (shuddering).
But there shouldn't be.
